Schedule a meet and greet here. Use the Meet and Greet type appointment and put yourself on the calendar at a time that works best for you.
After that, you will be receive a portal invitation with ALL the requisite paperwork to fill out AND the ability to put yourself on the “OFFICIAL” calendar for your first appointment.

I am a no nonsense therapist, Fundy-in-recovery, chronic Bad Daughter, and categorically FED TF UP.
That means we are free in our sessions:
-to speak plainly about our lived experiences as well as our hopes and dreams
-to swear like sailors or SAHMs
-to talk about how hard it all is and how that makes us feel (without fear of shame or carceral repercussions)
-to find a way to live as ethically as we can in late capitalism and STILL get to the beach
-and to be confronted on our collective bullshit (if you wanted to chit-chat, you could call into a radio show).

IBecause each person has different issues and goals for therapy, therapy will be different depending on the individual. In general, you can expect to discuss the current events happening in your life, your personal history relevant to your issue, and report progress (or any new insights gained) from the previous therapy session. Depending on your specific needs, therapy can be short-term, for a specific issue, or longer-term, to deal with more difficult patterns or your desire for more personal development. Either way, it is most common to schedule regular sessions with your therapist (usually weekly).
It is important to understand that you will get more results from therapy if you actively participate in the process. The ultimate purpose of therapy is to help you bring what you learn in session back into your life. Therefore, beyond the work you do in therapy sessions, your therapist may suggest some things you can do outside of therapy to support your process - such as reading a pertinent book, journaling on specific topics, noting particular behaviors or taking action on your goals. People seeking psychotherapy are ready to make positive changes in their lives, are open to new perspectives and take responsibility for their lives.

Long-term solutions to mental and emotional problems and the pain they cause often cannot be solved solely by medication. Instead of just treating the symptom, therapy addresses the cause of our distress and the behavior patterns that curb our progress. You can best achieve sustainable growth and a greater sense of well-being with an integrative approach to wellness. Working with your medical doctor you can determine what's best for you, and in some cases a combination of medication and therapy is the right course of action.

Confidentiality is one of the most important components between a client and psychotherapist. Successful therapy requires a high degree of trust with highly sensitive subject matter that is usually not discussed anywhere but the therapist's office. Every therapist should provide a written copy of their confidential disclosure agreement, and you can expect that what you discuss in session will not be shared with anyone. This is called “Informed Consent." Sometimes, however, you may want your therapist to share information or give an update to someone on your healthcare team (your Physician, Naturopath, Attorney), but by law your therapist cannot release this information without obtaining your written permission.
State law and professional ethics require therapists to maintain confidentiality except for the following situations:
* Suspected past or present abuse or neglect of children, adults, and elders requires therapists to report to the authorities, including Child Protection and law enforcement, based on information provided by the client or collateral sources.
* If the therapist has reason to suspect the client is seriously in danger of harming him/herself or has threatened to harm another person.
We will certainly talk through this in our first session. Radical Bodily Autonomy and a carceral state body do not mix.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.Under state and federal law, a patient may ask a health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate of the price the health care provider and health facility will charge for providing a nonemergency health care service, including costs such as medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. The Good Faith Estimate will be made in writing and provided within the timeframes stated in this notice.
Any Patient. Any patient (insured, uninsured, or self-pay) may request a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for nonemergency health care services. When one is requested, you will be provided a copy of this Good Faith Estimate within 3 business days of the request (when uninsured or self-pay) and 5 business days (when insured).
Uninsured Patients. Federal law requires health care providers to give you a Good Faith Estimate in advance of scheduling or upon request if you are uninsured or self-pay (not using your insurance to pay for the item or service). The Good Faith Estimate will be provided within 3 business days of scheduling the nonemergency health care service or within 1 business day if the nonemergency health care service is scheduled to be performed by the practitioner within 3 business days.
You may ask your health care provider, and any other providder you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
Patients who are uninsured or self-pay may dispute the actual charges if the exceed the Good Faith Estimate by at least $400.00.
Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.
